At this point, you will see mermaids ("sirens") jumping in the water. Continue along and you will see fairies with a chest that contains a shield, after which you'll need to make your way across some vines. You will notice a marking on the segment where the shielded knight was standing- crouch on this segment for several seconds to reveal an extra life. You will then make your way across a large skeleton where you have to deal with a shielded knight and numerous insects. This will be done in your last playthrough and is discussed in detail later.įight your way past more goop men and insects to reach the next section, which requires platforming across several moving turtles. There is an achievement for completing the game with the Fire Sword which requires completing the rest of the game without dying.

If you have the basic sword, she will upgrade it to the Fire Sword, which is considerably more powerful. Then head to the right and make your way past some hazards and skeletal enemies to reach the next section where you will fight the Manticore. Drop down again at the end and head to the left to unlock a door with the key that leads to a chest with Moura's Tear #2. Head to the right, taking care to kill the harpies that come from holes in the wall. Head left, get the hourglass from the nearby chest, and drop down the next gap near another dragon. You can run to the right to find a small food item and an extra life, but it's not necessary to go that way. Run left through the spike hazards and drop down the gap with the chain. Kneel at her feet for a few seconds and you will receive an invincibility powerup that makes you completely invulnerable for about 15 seconds. In the previous room, there is a statue of a woman with outstretched arms. Continue past the gap with the hanging chain and fight your way past several knights and another dragon until you reach a dead end with a chest that contains a key. You can get a blue fairy and weapon upgrade from two chests near the start of the next section. There is a large enemy about halfway through in the lower path that can be skipped by staying on the upper path. Head right through the first section which contains several knights, archers, and shielded knights as well as a Headless Knight and finally a small dragon that shoots fireballs.
